Effective July 15, 2011, employers submitting new hire reports in New York will be required to report whether dependent health insurance benefits are available and, if so, the date employees qualify for benefits. Under the new hire reporting requirements, employers must report certain identifying information about each newly hired or rehired employee working in New York State to the Department of Taxation and Finance.
